International Scotch Day

Happy International Scotch Day! I recently posted to a Facebook scotch group I belong to asking for recommendations. I wanted to get opinions on what an American whiskey drinker might buy as an introduction to the world of Scotch whisky. I asked for bottles roughly less than US$80 and made the post a poll so people could vote or add bottles. After several days I had a lot of responses and was happy that I owned most the bottles in the top 15. Of course, there were missing items and in honor of International Scotch Day I decided to add this to my collection and expand my tasting horizons. It may not be the fanciest, but I have to say that for a reasonable price it offers a lot of flavors that I feel well represent what an American Whiskey drinker might think of when they think of scotch. For reference, here is the list of whisky with the number of votes it received as of today. Links to a local store that I like, just for easy reference.
